Hi Shawn,

I'm looking to do some coding on my 2013 F30, can you please send me the links for the current downloads? Also saw some people saying you had a set of instructions for the setup that is a better than the pdf instructions at the start of this thread? Thank you in advance, it looks like you have really helped out a lot of people in this thread!

I am not sure if this question has already been asked, if so, I couldn't find it with a search. I recently bought a wifi obd2 adapter ELM 327. Will this connect to the E-sys software for use in coding or will i still need a wired cable? (it still connects via TCP/IP)

Also, can i get the updated info/instructions/download links for coding?

thanks,

No, a OBD Bluetooth Dongle will not work for E-Sys. You must use a wired ENET Cable.

Have you tried? Most of the ELM bluetooth products do not have connections that support ENET protocols. There are some that are wifi and not necessarily as application specific, but I have not tested with products like E-sys and ISTA+.

I have a very similar problem with f31 my2014 with 6wa:

What's your opinion ? Has anyone had this problem ?
Is the ICM module replacement only solution?

I'd really appreciate any help.

I will give it a shot, the dongle i got is NOT bluetooth, but rather WiFi. I will try it soon and report back the results. I don't see why it wouldn't work since both ethernet and wifi work the same way at a software level, but E-sys may be looking for a particular device id. You never know until you try.

Yeah, I have seen the attached, but not tested yet.

There are versions that do work like this DIY.

Hi Shawn or Almaretto, please could you PM me the link to the latest software & instructions as well? Thanks in advance

UK/EU owners: Is it possible to code a 2016 320d ED to start up in Comfort rather than Eco Pro every time?

Excellent, thanks very much! With that and 6NS (thanks to all the posts explaining how to VO code that for newbies like me) my car will be pretty much perfect.
