Post 2017 BMW 440i coding CarPlay

I think the 2017 440 class is a forgotten one. I find it very difficult to find other drivers or people with similar interest when it comes to reaching full potential
I know there are tons of carplay questions, and honestly that’s what helped me find this forum but I’ve found it very hard like stated earlier to find similar situations.
I’ve heard people find files and antennas on EBay for $13 and $40 but then I’ve found a reputable source like bimmertech ask for $400.
$400 for CarPlay retrofit seems absurd to me.

I’ve done miner coding to eliminate the seatbelt warning/Dong, unlocked DVD play in motion.
USB file to update the Bluetooth and HU

But can someone explain to me what all the talk about FSC map code does?
Can my car be coded to allow CarPlay the same way?
Has anyone with a similar model found success with CarPlay installing and what route did you take ?

And I’m kinda curious as to what codes you guys have done to similar models ?

You car can be coded using USB Solution, it will only work currently on 3/4 of the screen.
To get Fullscreen you would need to get Software update + activation of CarPlay + Fullscreen.

I recommend to fit an antenna. It will work way better and more stable.
You can get any antenna.

Basically everything for the 340i works with the 440i, especially interior electronics stuff. It's all identical.

When was your vehicle built? After July 16, 2016?

For one time fee of $300, you can purchase CarPlay from BMW. Your vehicle hardware is ready for CarPlay.

If you have Enhanced Bluetooth - either through 6NS or 6NW, you should be able to order Apple CarPlay from the ConnectedDrive store for a one time fee of $300.

If you only have standard Bluetooth, you can go with one of the coding providers like myself and purchase a custom activation.
