Question Anti dazzle on 440i gran coupe icon headlights possible?

Someone posted in another thread that anti dazzle can't be coded on 440i headlights. I tried some searches and couldn't find any info whether this can be done or not. Anybody have a definitive answer?

Why shouldn't that work?
If all the requirements are met, for the 440i it works the same as all other models.

Someone said that the US LCI headlights are missing hardware for this to work. I'm trying to verify if this is the case then I would have to get Euro market headlights to get this feature.

Not the definitive answer you are looking for, but from what I've read on the forums, you would indeed need additional hardware. The feature can't be simply coded on. However, I don't think the additional hardware is in the headlights themselves, rather it's a camera that is needed in the rearview mirror cluster.

So essentially, the US spec headlights are capable of Anti-Dazzle, you just need the additional camera, and of course coding, and probably some other minor bits.

Is that a different camera than the one that is in the windshield for driving assistant package and standard US auto high beams?

US F3x LCI with FLE have motor, but lack lens shutter to shape beam pattern. No coding can overcome missing hardware.

So, to be clear. If I were to install euro LCI headlights and code the car for them. That is the only way to get anti dazzle. Has anyone done this in the US?

Does this apply to f80 as well?
