There is a 'his and hers' initials thing been going on for a few years, so you won't see it as a private plate without being aware of that :

Hi,

The plate has my wife and my initials on it..

I has s e46 320d which was a 53 plate so that's he reason for the 53 year plate.

it does look like a normal plate unless the letters do resemble something for some.
