Audio/Video Sync Issues on YouTube over Bluetooth.

So just to keep it short, I've searched and found no real help. I have an 2013 F30 with the HK system, and when I watch a video on YouTube there's a 2-3 second delay between the audio and video so they don't sync up and it's like watching an old Bruce Lee movie, where you see the action before you hear the actual vocals lol...

Anyone ever find a fix for this..??

Thanks!

The bluetooth audio transmission on iDrive 4 and older has a horrible delay. Sometimes even 7-10 second. Most noticable when switching tracks. iDrive 5 and up is much better, almost no delay. This is one of the reasons I keep looking at upgrading my evo iDrive 4 to iDrive 5

Does the iDrive 5 confirm to have fixed this? Every new 2018 bimmer loaner I get, there is still a delay over blutooth.

OP, the only real solution is to connect over the USB directly.

From my limited experience with iD5 and iD6 loaners, I would say it is fixed

By limited I mean probably by now a month and a half total with iD5/6 loaners. I actually only had 1 iD5 loaner, all other were iD6.

Tried it on my moms new X5M and it's still the same when watching YouTube.. There is an audio/video delay where you hear the audio before the visual scene takes place lol..

Side note, I plugged in my kinivo btc455, connected via bluetooth, problem solved... So it's definitely the factory BMW Bluetooth receiver causing the issue.

Has anyone had the delay on calls? I have a Dec 2017 F20 and there's also a 2 second delay when talking on the phone. It makes it unusable as you end up talking over one another.

I had an '08 X3 with no drive but it did have bluetooth for calls and it was fine. I buy a brand new BMW with iDrive 6.0 and it's laughably bad!
