It’s an automatic. Supposedly has 192 hours reserve but I’m not seeing anything like that.

I love the watch, but a few niggles are creeping in and you don’t really want that on a watch with such a high price tag... No doubt some will argue that the foibles are part of its charm, but I’m not in that camp..

It's a Stowa Flieger 40mm with display back

You can opt to have the brand removed from the dial so it's more in keeping with it's historic roots which were pilots watches for the Luftwaffe

Nice small family owned German manufacturer if you're interested

Better pic than mine

Anyone bought from USA delivered? Is there a risk of import tax / VAT at customs?

Based on sending gifts to my family in the UK I would say there is a strong possibility of import taxes. We sent a Tiffany necklace with the customs form and they made my sister pay through the carrier before they would release it. That was only a couple hundred bucks!

Only way from the USA is to travel there and wear it back yourself and post the box back while there

Possible, yes. I bought a Panerai 253 back in the summer from a US based dealer. I had it delivered to a friend of mine in Atlanta who packaged it up with a few other bits and pieces and shipped it over. He declared it as a gift with a value of $75 and I’ve yet to hear anything from customs.

This kind of triangular shipping is undoubtedly the beast way to have any chance of side stepping customs charges...

Ha! Have faith in DHL! There’s difference between customs declaration and package insurance.

A little late to the party... but worth sharing anyway... Tag Monaco and Omega Speedmaster 57. Quite a fan of leather straps over metal bracelets.
Thoughts? Both quite different..

I love Monacos. Never owned one but it's a definite itch that I'll scratch at some point. That Speedmaster is nice too - suits the leather strap.

Really? I've seen Subs in stock all over the place, why do you have to wait?

Actually - there seems to be a lot more Dates than No Dates.

I presume by ordering you're paying RRP?
