Any issues passing NC inspection with catless DP and BM3?

Just checking with all my NC people.

I have a ewg N55 and am looking at going with a catless DP and BM3 tune.

Any issues getting past inspection?

It depends on your county. I am in Brunswick county and here I was able to get away with a catless downpipe as long as you do not have a CEL since they do not do emissions testing.

If you are in Wake county you may have issues with emissions testing.

Mine passed in Union county with a catless downpipe and MHD stage 2+ tune.

True. Chatham county does not require emissions. Still going with vrsf catted to cut down on loudness and smell.

FYI- Bootmod3 can suppress the CEL from popping up on your dashboard but they can still see it if they plug into your OBD under the dash

Nothing is easy! Emissions is completely dependent on local laws and local methods of testing. I live in a tough emissions state and I hate catless gasoline smell, so I got a Fabspeed HJS catted downpipe which passes emissions. There are a few other Catted downpipes that pass emissions also. Focus on finding out about local emissions

You got a nice car. The smart mods that jumped out at me were the M Performance Brakes (although switch to Hawk 5.0 pads when yours wear out), the MP LSD and the KWv3 coilovers which are probably the best riding coilovers and they are incredibly adjustable to get the exact ride comfort that you want. Bootmod3 is an excellent tune. It's a fun car

I had the Active Autowerke high flow catted downpipe installed since it also guarantees no CEL like the Fabspeed the other poster mentioned. It's also EPA certified so it will also pass NC inspection. Both are great options for a high flow catted downpipe that will pass inspection but are on the more expensive side. I went with the Active Autowerke for the peace of mind.
