an ecu tune. they remove the ecu, program it, reinstall, then dyno the car. I looked at bootmod but bootmod has not released any options for b58 yet. still researching a lot and seeing what will do best to keep my warranty in place with mod friendly shops, if at all possible.

Here is the website I used to find out what boat I was assigned to.
http://41.160.4.58:8080/apex/f?p=102...VjZblD2CvOUH-k

Obviously this is for SA builds, but there may be a German port site with similar details for you.
I simply plugged in my VIN and search. I was able to get my shipping details about a week before BMW Genius

Think I already mentioned it before but another STI dude here too. Got a silver 2015 limited model that I plan to trade in for the 340 at the end of Apr.

Speaking of which, got word today that mine shipped on 28 Mar, should hit the Port of Baltimore by 7 Apr. Yeah baby

I believe my car finished production on 13 Mar, then shipped out on 28 Mar, so it sat at the port for a little over two weeks before shipping. Fortunately my ship is on a 10 day voyage to the states which I believe is slightly faster than most (I've heard they usually take up to 14 days for German builds heading to Baltimore).

excellent info and glad to have others' folks builds to follow to learn. that actually, surprisingly, matches up with what my dealer said, about two weeks to get on a ship usually for his builds.

Very nice, love the white w/ black trim--I almost went that route on my 15. I ended up getting the silver w/ black trim. I also have that SPT carbon fiber trunk piece, it's amazing how nice that little part brings out the back end. I got a lot more compliments on that little piece than I ever expected. It does look nice which is why I'm leaning toward a few CF upgrades on the 340 (spoiler, exhaust tips, possibly mirror caps, etc)

They don't show anything available for the b58 on their website either. I was unaware anyone was able to flash the ecu yet...

After 5 years with my 08' 335, I got a 2016 STi. Swapped trunks with a WRX first week I had it:

I recently switched back and got the 340 x-drive in October. You'll miss the handling of the STi for sure. This thing has some serious body roll... it needs some suspension mods badly, but other than that this car is awesome. Once we're able to flash the B58, it's going to be a beast.

I was going to ask if anyone could compare the STI handling vs the 340. I was worried the handling may be worse in the 340 simply because the STI is so damn tight. The handling is the absolute best part of the STI, IMO, it is a rally car after all.

Good call on the trunk swapping, I honestly could never stand the big ass spoiler. The power band, as I've found on most japanese cars is a bit wacky too. Lots of high end torque and turbo lag--no comparison to my brother's older 335.

yeah they say, they are getting around 50whp/40wtq delta gains with no mods on 2016+ 340s vs stock. stock they put down around 330 whp on their dyno. there is just no map switching convenience like with some other options.

It's not close at all. The handling is night+day better in the STi. Suspension mods are a must with the 340. I have yet to do it, but plan on it once the weather warms up

what suspension set up did you get on your 340 that is so bad? i've been looking forward to the adaptive m suspension based on feedback from racing buddies. it's going to be pretty bad in comparison to my previous subaru build i'm sure but that's not a really fair comparison as that is set up as a serious driving machine. i'm definitely looking forward to getting the car and seeing what she can do on a couple laps and courses.

I don't have the adaptive suspension so I can't comment on that. The non-adaptive suspension definitely needs some tweaks

i think you're right based and that seems be the feedback on these forums. the adaptive m suspension is supposed to be quite good and a huge improvement over standard. i'd be interested to hear what you do to your build to tighten up response and if at all to damping/rebound/compression/roll, etc to meet your subaru experience standards. where you on stock STI suspension? any suspension chassis or steering improvements/upgrades?

i think the single thing i'll miss the most once my subaru sells is the flat bottom DAMD steering wheel and the STI 13:1 steering rack i installed. changed the car so dramatically and the m sport steering wheel doesn't compare but the steering angle adjustment on the fly on the 340 seems great.
