They don't offer the cup holder light. Not sure about the roof light, they have some others for BMW roof lighting but I'm not sure for which specific light. You may want to email them and ask to be sure.

No, until now no roof lights known. I recommend eBay and there look for spare parts, hence those are no SMD LED's afaik.

Do you think benzinfabrik would be able to do a custom board for me where the LED's would be blue and oem style orange? I wonder..

Maybe 🤔 got to be worth asking.

I would have much preferred orange and purple rather than white.

I got an email back from them, I could do special color though I have to order 100 pieces..

Looks like i'm gonna have to think hard whether I really want blue ambient lighting and to ditch the orange even though i'd love to have both to switch around

Order sets of blue/white and orange/white and switch out the LED's yourself if you're good at soldering tiny components or find an electronics shop to do it for you.

I was thinking of doing that considering on my old E92 I swapped out all the orange LEDs for white on the gauge cluster, I wish there was a board thats plug and play like this one where I can cycle through colors to choose rather than those 9 color retrofits I see online that require so much to install

Was chatting to them yesterday when chasing up my recent order to ask about orange/purple leds and they said they will plan to look at other options other than white plus one colour. So you can mix and match more options.

Maybe the more people that ask the more likely they to offer them. 🤞

Can’t wait for mine to arrive and to get them fitted.

Maybe they can offer their own version of the Chinese 9 color retrofit. Maybe add mire colors and have their own controller. This would give us more colors while using their products. Not sure exactly how the aftermarket controller works though.

Yay my radio trim LED modules from Benzinfabrik shipped! I'm guessing they should be here in a few weeks.

Awaiting warmer temps outside, that would also reduce the danger of broken plastic parts at disassembling.

Hey everyone,

So I have also ordered some leds from here and I was doing some research and i clicked into the video posted here of the guy that installed these on his f10. Well, he’s made an updated video saying the door card leds failed after one year because they would overheat. In the video you can see that he used the “old style” door led boards that were black. I see on the benzinfabrik website that they have now changed those led boards to be aluminum and white in color. I’m guessing that’s to address the overheating issues. I placed my order well after they got rid of the old black ones but for anyone that does have them in their car, I would probably re-order some of the the new ones to save yourself from any potential headaches. Or keep your old oems handy in case they start overheating on you.

Here’s the updated video:

Well that's sad to hear. I hope keeping the brightness down helps mitigate the heat issue. I guess this is a side effect of having brighter LED's.

If it came down to it I'd rather get one of those Chinese 9 color retrofits that integrates with iDrive rather than installing totally custom LED strips. That's a lot of work lol especially for the single color LED strips he installed (might as well get RGB LED's and control the color from your phone). Kudos to the guy for having the patience to do it though!

I've got the black door card led's (blue and white). I found then to be too bright at max intensity. So I've only been running them around 70%. And I've had no issues. I've also got the footwell leds too. Again no issues. Since I haven't had the climate leds, because they were available until now. I still had the original orange led lighting in place. And I think it made a nice contrast to the blue leds in the doors. So I think I might either buy the brighter climate leds in white / orange or with the 605 orange colour. Or do I buy new leds for the door cards in white / orange 605 while I'm at it? SO I can swap them when I want....

Same here, no issues so far.
But good point with the brightness of the blue v/s the OEM orange into the climate cluster. Actually its more a mild orange glow and Im fine with this. Not sure how bright the blue would appear, but would chime in if mod is done.

In case this is helpful, I installed the white/orange 605 ones in my door card. I noticed that while the white is MUCH brighter than OEM, the orange 605 is only slightly brighter.

You are right, there are 2 LED's at the sides of the climate panel, so you have to order 2 pieces for retrofitting.
