When I read up on my insurance recently it said corrosion and leaks that come on gradually aren’t covered. Basically just catastrophic instant leaks and associated damage are covered.

That's probably your issue then. Sure you've get Steel connected onto your new system? More than likely some corrosion going on. How often are you topping up the pressure?

Certainly something i'd of been replacing.

UK house I owned built in 1983 had an air problem. Turned out the feed pipe from the head tank and the vent pipe were on the wrong sides for the pump flow. Every time the pump started it pulled a little air down the vent pipe. Frigging builders.
