When you get the "click" noise the first time applying the breaks after the car as been sitting for a while, its usually the pad moving. Some pads do it worse than others.
This exact thing happen to me after changing my own pads. Turns out I didn't lube the pins enough. Went away after a good cleaning and applying brake lube.

Usual Scenario: I'll put the car in reverse while backing down the flat drive and as I touch the brake it occurs. It will sometimes happen again as I place the car in drive and pull away. The wheel is typically straight when it happens and the car is moving at a slow speed.
Do you have aftermarket brake pads? My track pads do this because they are designed to be a little smaller to account for thermal expansion under heavy braking in track conditions.

No, these are the standard OEM brakes. The car has <10,000 miles on it.

Mine are OEM M-sport brakes, and i noticed this for a while right after i bought the car CPO and pads all around were replaced right before i got it. I haven't noticed it recently though, so it seemed to have went away after a few thousand miles.

I would check the pads to make sure. The brake calipers could be OEM, but the pads could be aftermarket. If they are like my track pads, should be no problem.
