Orange substance on window

Was washing the long roof today and found some orange substance stuck on the rear cargo window. Tried my finger nail and it did nothing. It was sticky though.

Tried rubbing alcohol, followed by Chem Bros degreaser and a razor blade and it still didn't get it all off.

Any suggestions on another product to try?

Thank you for the suggestion. Tried that on a microfiber towel. Turned it orange again but won't scratch off with a finger nail or razor blade.

It won’t scratch off with a razor blade? Maybe try heating it up with blow dryer and then nail polish remover or goof off

If it's orange and then whitens when you scrape at it then it's most likely sap. Goof off on a MF towel pressed against it for a minute or so then razor blade. Repeat until it's gone. If that gets on paint then same process but plastic razor blade CAREFULLY and polish out any minor scratching. Or soak longer.

If you have a polisher, DA or rotary, try rubbing it off with a pumice hand cleaner, like Go Jo. You can use it to polish the windshield too, removing those tiny pits that BMW windshields are prone to.

It is orange and then white when it's wet/scraped. So far it's not on the paint, just the window (thankfully).

Don't have a polisher, but will look into it if the Goo Gone doesn't work. Thanks for all the tips and tricks!

I had a few IPAs today, but with 8+ inches of snow on the ground, I figured I'd stay inside.

Going to have BMW Seattle take a look at it on Friday to see if they can do anything.
