I don't blame you... this was a major head-ache. Lots of time and money to spin around in a circle fucking around with these springs.

I just checked my springs on my 328 xDrive, and from what I can see they are seated just fine.

When I installed them the only thing I can say is I didn't need a spring compressor for the install of the spring onto the strut, taking the stock spring off is when I needed one.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it seemed that there was a second problem with a 335i x-drive installation described in this thread.
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...7&postcount=13

On the Dinan site, the 335i x-drive springs are now described as "currently on backorder and expected to be available beginning of August."

My own recent install was uneventful and I'm very pleased with the outcome. The drop was as advertised and control is much improved. PabloK and PSA955: the deal that you got really stinks. I can only imagine how disappointed you must have been after all the build up.

Yes maybe because PSA955 never called Dinan about his issue possibly waiting on PabloK to see the results from his case with Dinan

This is very troubling...

Dinan springs (and Pilot Super Sports) is just what my 435i xDrive needs, but I guess I'll be waiting until some time after they introduce them.

I don't have any grinding issues or noises while corning. It can be a bit bouncy without shockware (which won't load on my car) and i will see what my dealer says about my boots being all scrunched up

You referring to the front sleeve that comes on the bump stop in the Dinan kit for the front strut.....

Nah, we've both been in contact with Dinan throughout this whole ordeal.

I have 6 springs in my garage i'm about to ship back to Dinan. My thoughts are they might have engineered something that was just right on the edge of properly fitting? Or PSA955 and myself have something different with our front ends causing install issues. Last time I spoke to Dinan they were ordering all the front end parts according directly to my VIN. Sounded like that could be several weeks before they know anything yet.

Regards

How much do the Dinan springs for the XI actually lower the car... Enough to get rid of the excessive wheel well gap?

Anyone with them already installed post up some before and after pics if you don't mind.

FWIW, I noticed Dinan lowered their prices on the Springs.

For both the RWD and AWD, the price used to be $549., now its $399.

They've been $399 since introduction, at least since the Xdrive models were announced I believe.

No they weren't . They were originally listed at $549; if I weren't returning mine I'd be asking for a rebate.

Hey thanks! Looks like just enough.
Any issues with those spring and the DHP stock dampers?
