Buying used key fob off eBay a good idea?

Hey guys, so I'm trying to sell my old 328i, but I dont wanna sell it with the manky old key fob it has now, as its been pretty beat up and isn't a good first impression. Can I just buy a used one off eBay and program it to my car, just like that?

Probably not a good idea. What year is the 328? Do you have the second key? Just tell the buyer to keep the manky key as a spare.

Only if the used one has been wiped. You can replace the fob case, using your key innards.
