You know, I wonder if the Chicago region relies on a rail car to bring the cars. I know for Vermont, there's not really a good rail line, and probably not enough volume to use that. You might be waiting for the right train or something.

You guys still haven't received your cars yet? I'm surprised because I thought you would have yours at the beginning of the week.

I will say that my CA told me a few weeks back that the transportation company moved to a different location at the Baltimore port and that move has caused some problems for his cars. He would receive one car rather quickly, but then another car was either lost or arrived weeks later. This is why he originally quoted me 7-10 days in Customs followed by 2-3 days on truck. He couldn't guarantee when it would get here.

Hopefully both of your cars come in by the end of this week.

picked mine up today! Arrived at baltimore June 6th off Titania. Got to the dealership saturday June 14th. Just drove down and picked her up today. yayayayayyayayay!

my dealer told me about that change. it delayed some cars at the time for about a week as I was told no cars left at that time, but that should be over.

still waiting. may ask for an update today, but it looks like I'm looking at 4 months from order to delivery. something to lood forward to after a brutal weekend of work coming up.

Shanksa, what color is your car? How about some more pics when you stop driving it? It looks great!!

mine will be roughly 2 full months (though in fairness, one month from my allotted build week)

Thanks! It was delivered to Wichita, KS. I live in KC and drove down to pick it up yesterday. (My cousin is finance manager there) Already have 220 miles on it but thats okay its a blast to drive.

trying to temper my anger right now, but just got off the phone with BMWNA and they're showing an estimated delivery of NEXT FRIDAY (June 27) for my car, even though it went into final touches on June 9th...

BTW, my car is being delivered to Northern VA...people much further away have already received there cars...

Is there any way to go to the port and pick it up yourself? I'm sick of waiting, especially if there's a half empty truck sitting there waiting for the next boat.

about to email my CA for an update. hoping for better news.
just went by the dealer and there are a ton of new sedans there since last week when the lot was nearly empty.

something happened last night in the system that caused my car to go from an estimated delivery date of early this week to next week. my CA is doing everything he can that's in his control (outside of breaking kneecaps in Baltimore) to see what's going on, including checking with the inventory manager at the dealer. we are both hopeful the delay isn't due to something as silly as my black kidneys being backordered...couldn't care less about those being installed ahead of delivery, as it's something that can be done in 15 minutes some other day.

he also is going to inquire about getting me a loaner, as i'm renting a car in the meantime...no promises, as of course, everything in this world is estimated and the dealer has no control (or at least limited control from what i can see) on these situations...

I ordered the stainless pedals to be VPC installed; hope that didn't delay the car.
apparently black kidneys, which I also want, weren't an option for VPC for the convertible.
hope to hear something today, but this is pretty bleak.
looiking like next week at best as I'm working all weekend.
off next Tues & Fri, can only hope by then

haha i wish I'm at work looking out my window seeing her just sit there.

No I got auto. I drive a lot for work and got tired of my 6 speed. Plus 8 speed get better MPG and its a little faster.
