I think that all US-bound 2013 MSport models are currently held up at port (Bremerhaven) awaiting EPA/CARB approval....anybody have alternate info?

Wouldn't the 'hold up' be at the P.O.E. in the U.S. ?

According to US Customs and Border Protection our cars need to show proper documentation to enter the country. In this case it is EPA and DOT paperwork. From the massive 15 minutes of internet searching I've done on this topic, if 2013s are certified nothing proving that has been posted publicly. Now, that doesn't mean that it hasn't taken place but it stands to reason that IF it hasn't our 2013s will be held up at US ports until they have the proper documentation.

I suppose we'll start to find out if this really is a problem when the 2013s start hitting US shores in the next few weeks.

+1 -- this is what I would like to know as well. I've seen both versions offered; the delay is in Bremerhaven or the delay is at P.O.E. Clarification would be nice.

My 2013 is on the "Florida Highway"(vessel name) departed from Bremerhaven on 7/11.

Well, here you go, it happens each new MY with all models. Usually resolves quickly.

They can ship to the US before they get all of their EPA certifications, but they can't be released to dealerships. The cars will wait at the VPC, not in Bremerhaven:

6/28 - production started
7/6 - production completed
7/14 - sent to sea on the TYSLA
7/26 - schedule arrival stateside
