Springs for 340i xdrive

What springs would you say is best to lower 340 xdrive without rubbing on stock wheels? I've heard about h&r sport and super sport springs, Eibach but never talked with anyone who actually has them on

I personally wouldn't recommend super sports on a xDrive car, i'm currently running h&r sports and the drop is pretty good, some rub at full lock with 437M's but also running much bigger tires than stock wheels so you'd be fine.

Where's the link? Also, did you get the optional stuff that cane with the dinan springs cuz i was looking into them and they suggested adding something extra to help with ride quality

So the h&r sports should be just fine? Any complaints with the ride quality? Any issues with struts or you changed those out?

Dinan springs 340i xdrive. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1665646

They come with the bump stops as well. The only other item with these would be the flash software but I never purchased or needed it.

Depends on what kind or ride you are looking for. Eibach xDrive springs are 10% stiffer, Dinan is 30% and I believe H&R are 50%. Eibach lowers car 3/4", Dinan is 1" and H&R is 1.5". The Eibach uses the stock Bump Stops, the others must have new. I put Eibach on, see post for "Any lowered xDrives?" for my 440i xDrive Coupe for before and after view.

I'm not looking to kill my stock struts trying to keep them going as long as possible and keep the ride decent as possible with a lowered look.

The stock shocks, bump stops and rod ends will work with Eibach, if you went lower, should change those items. The Eibachs will have minimum impact on the ride (only 10% stiffer). These will lower your xDrive to RWD level. Looks like you have your answer.

I decided to go with Dinan. Haven't gotten then yet, but my research led me down that path!

I'm also going down the Dinan path. Did you get them, and did you upgrade struts at the same time?

I currently have Dinan and wish that the fronts were just a tad bit lower. I think the H&R super sports are probably exactly what I'm looking for but heard that they are stiffer than Dinan. Didn't really wanna compromise the ride quality that much. As for struts I have the adaptive suspension so no changes for me.

I've generally heard good things about the Dinan Springs, except their resistance to corrosion... Although depends where you live, and what kind of chemicals they use on roads in the winter.

Yea, i'm on the East Coast. So, snow an salt is a constant during the winter time. Dinan needs to work on that corrosion issue. That makes my decision a bit easier but have to wonder how the other companies, H&R, Eibach, an others hold up in those conditions as well.

I had the same problem with mine. It's started about a year after I installed them.

Bought ACS springs the second time around for my 340 through BMW directly.

I liked the Dinans but on my 328 it had reverse rake, something not everyone likes. I just got used to it.
