Yeah, I remember that happening when I coded Sport+ and SAT last night. The CEL must have been cause by something else I tried coding today.

I don't know about P144B, was it P1448?

I did more looking and see a P144B code. Like 1448, It has to do with an issue between the fuel being used as reported by the DME and what the rate of fuel level change is.

Probably triggered by running the engine while coding.

It's not related to the EGS (transmission), just some anomaly for sitting idling for a long time. If it cleared on it's own, you should be fine.

I'm sure it was P144B.

I never kept the engine running while I coded. I had the battery hooked up to an external charger. I'm hoping it was just a fluke.

Strange, the P144x code range seems all related to the fuel system. At least it cleared on it's own for you.

As someone new to all this, would the presence of xdrive matter for this? I wouldn't think so, but I would like know sure.

Given the Sportline and M-Sport xDrive models have Sport+ (mine has that setting), i don't see why it would be a problem.

I was able to only partly code for the following and got the Sport + DSP Off on the Dash, but for some reason, my CADF file for EGS seems to be corrupted and could not retrieve a copy to inject into the vehicle computer. What do the two commands under EGS do?

Can someone send me their CAFD file for the EGS for a 2013 BMW 328 XI?

I programmed my car using the below (320i xDrive, Canadian version) and I now have Sport+ . I drove a few KM and got the engine warmed up, but have no launch control...

I googled and saw something that said you had to have 6 miles / 10KM on the car running before it engaged - that may be my problem - Can anyone confirm if the F30 requires 10KM on it before it 'unlocks' launch control?

It will activate sport+ and sport transmission )))
Or you also could add 2TB option and delete 205 in salapa element

Coding does not void your warranty. BMW would have to prove that your coding caused car to somehow fail, and even then, the warranty void would be limited to just that specific issue, not the entire car.

If you are that worried about it, I suggest you not code your car then.

The fact of the matter is, IF something goes wrong during coding...it CAN render your car useless and YES will VOID your warranty. the chances are low, but its possible.

the risk is on you and only you. it doesnt sound like something you're willing to handle

woah man!

ok i know i heard it can malfunction the CPU unit and sounds like most people with bimmers down in USA like to code so I think I can trust you guys

I am a little confused about one thing though; I have a luxury line xdrive 328i can I still code the SAT into the car along with sport +??

Another question to you guys then; Have you guys had malfunctioning issues after installing the sport + mode? warning lights, all that stuff?

I am planning to install the DINAN suspension kit, will it affect the adding of sport + ???

I haven't. I had the coding done for Sport+ in February and I have yet to have a warning light for anything. I didn't do the coding myself though.
