Did you reset adaptations? I have a foxwell as well (Schwaben version), and it appears to be programmed with software to perform the reset adaptations function.

[QUOTE=alex-xs;24739292]regarding the oil, see the ZF document, besides the original car oils and ZF lifeguard 8 oil, the only oil brand which has an official approval is PETRONAS tutela AS8, all other oils are not approved.
Where do you get your information that all other oils are not approved? |

Hey folks, question here. I recently changed my trans fluid and filter. Following the procedure step by step, except when it came to going through the gears. Both FCP and from posts on here, it mentions to go into manual mode and go through all the gears. I can’t get through all the gears unless I’m shifting super fast. But everything comes back to M2. Am I doing something wrong?
I also made sure I got the trans oil temp to about 45 degrees Celsius, refilled the pan till a solid stream poured out. However, I’m having a weird sound coming from the trans after all this? I’m gonna try to get a video of it next time I hear it. Anyone experience this? |

Yes, hold it down for a few seconds. ISTA has it as part of the process.

I am still a bit confused as to why there is such disconnect. Looks like Chrysler instructions are similar to ISTA where when you cycle through the gears, the wheels are allowed to turn. ZF guide does not specify and I was in fact of the opinion that you simply cycle through R, D, M1, and M2 with brakes continually depressed. Then put in park and rev to fill the TC. What benefit would turning wheels with DSC off be vs. simply cycling through gears where the transmission channels will get filled same way with brake continually depressed? I need to call ZF and see what they say. Seems a lot of different ways to skin a cat.
