Key fob batteries

I have just had a warning light come up replace batteries, After I replace them will the alarm message just delete or will I need to reset something in the iDrive menu

Changed mine recently, very easy to do yourself and nothing to reset on the car. Got my batteries from Halfords CR2450 is what you'll need.

Did mine a few months ago, people like Tesco (I think) sell these batteries. It's just a straight in/out.

Got my battery from Screwfix. Hardest part was getting the back off as even after I RTFM I couldn’t quite grasp it.

Getting the back off is easy. There's a hole at the back the same width as the removable key. Push the key in there hard and it pops the back off. It's a 1 min job tops

Funny thing is did mine as well yesterday, bought two batteries CR 2450 as stated above. Done in a few mins and the dash warning went.
