Intakes with louder turbo whirl that don't throw CEL codes???

So after doing some reading, it seems that while the BMS Intake makes a nice turbo whirl, it is rough at idle and throws CEL codes. I LOVE the sound that comes from it, but really don't want to deal with any of the above issues. Any suggestions? I assume I would probably have to go sealed. Are there any sealed intakes that make a nicer sound than the non-existant stock intake?

I couldn't care less about "performance gains". I'm just looking for a nice sound.

if your looking for just pure sound, go for a CTS turbo intake.

Heard it won't throw a CEL but don't quote me on that!

He is correct. I have it. Makes noise and no cel. Been installed for 10 months now. Dry filter and it's easy to clean

I run the Momentum Pro 5R (oiled) for 5 years now. No issues with bms stage1, jb4, or BM3 stage1. Some other members also ran the dry one w/o issues. CTS is definitely cheaper if other ppl are running it w/o problems.

Another one for CTS Turbo. Installed for just over a month and no CEL, just tons of noises.

I have the AFE momentum pro dry CAI. No CEL. It's a cone filter but enclosed so that probably helps. However it has three slits that's helps suck in more air or essentially let's more sound out. You can hear the wastegate, spooling, pretty much everything. Much louder for sure. Not sure I'd want it any louder to be honest.

Currently Have CTS and previously had the AFE Momentum Pro Dry.
Both sounds greats and no CEL at all. Performance wise both are negligible. Only difference is the price and the looks.

Take the Stock airbox lower portion and do the MPPK mod to it. That's what I run and it definitely makes more cool noises. Only downside is that more particulate seems to get into the airbox but that's neither here nor there.
