For those that are interested... I just did this.

I used the stalks from an F16 part # 9368591.

It was plug and play. The only thing to keep in mind is if you have a heated steering wheel you need to modify the cabling to the button slightly...

Hi there

I'm trying retrofit a heated steering wheel but the stalks are hard to find the part number you listed is widely available and a lot cheaper. I read the guide you recommended but it says the heating worked without needing to change anything? From what I could make out from it being Russian. Do you know what wiring needs to change?

I have all the parts just need the stalk

In case you're still wondering about this mod, I just posted a review and guide. Mine is a 2016 340i, had the "normal" non returning stalk fitted. Just so u know, the process is pretty involved.
