F30 335i xDrive Maintenance

Hi all, I am new here so forgive me if I'm asking something that's already been answered.
I am taking delivery of a 2015 335i xDrive with 50k miles this week. I'm wondering what you all think I should do to ensure its in the best condition possible. Should I go get it serviced at a BMW dealer? Independent mechanic? The dealer I bought it from (non BMW) did their own inspection on it prior to its sale - checked for leaks, checked break wear, etc...
Appreciate the help and looking forward to learning more about the F30 chassis.

If there is a thread that discusses this type of stuff lmk!

Try to find a local, independent european car repair shop and have them inspect it. Dealer will (and already has) said it's been inspected.

You might have some return period, so in the unlikely case something is terribly wrong, get it checked out sooner than later. Or, if you find it before finalizing the deal, they may perform the repair at no cost.

Congratulations and welcome!

Did you have a chance to examine the maintenance history of your vehicle?

Please change the N55 charge pipe as soon as you can. I suggest one made by Evolution Raceworks.

Mike @ Extreme Power House can help you. https://x-ph.com/about-us/

I also suggest to check ...

- Plugs
- Injectors
- Any stored codes
- When brake fluid was changed; if more than 2 years - change it soon

Since you are new, the best advice i can give you is to explore the forums. There are specific Technical Subforums for questions like this where you will get better/more tailored responses. For example, for your question, I highly recommend going into the "Mechanical Maintenance and TSBs: Break-in / Oil & Fluids / Servicing / TSBs and Service Bulletin" section. There are hundreds of pages for you to read and many threads on your specific question that have been discussed to death.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=437

As you have additional questions, try going into the most relevant Technical Forum first and looking for a similar thread. A targeted google search to f30.bimmerpost can also help.

If they can't produce maintenance documents assume it hasn't been done and negotiate for a lower price. If you can do the maintenance yourself that's a plus. The trans fluid and pan kit is 2-300 bucks depending if you do the Liquimolly or BMW branded ZF lifeguard fluid. Also the differential fluid needs to be done along with the transfer case, don't let them tell you lifetime fluids blah blah, it needs to be done. Charge pipe as others have stated is on you, they explode under stock boost, it's cheap insurance, the Burger Motorsport version is 200 bucks and works great. Any future car I buy will have a pre purchase inspection done, I jacked that up and got a car that needs a radiator so I'm going to have to eat that one as well as all kinds of other maintenance that I just recently completed.
