Installation help on the E-Brake M-Performance boot

Hi all,

I purchased the M Performance Parking Brake Handle (BMW Part #: 34402222540). Looks great, but I am having some trouble installing it into my 430xi. From the pics below, you can see that the bottom part fits in nicely, but I am having trouble getting the top clips in place. I am scared to force the top clips in place for fear of breaking something. Any ideas? WD-40?

you are supposed to clip those in first during installation, then install the lower portion

Hi e90Nate.

I tried that, but the bottom portion doesn't have enough room to fit into the slot. It looks like it is supposed to slide into the groove, but when I install the back section first, and then the front, there is still some fabric showing on the front.

You won't break the clips you can install both ways front first or rear first just push down till they snap in easy day.

Your car looks great. I like the M-Sport shifter. This is this weekend's project
