Besides forum discussions, noone yet has provided any hard facts in BMW documentation (ISTA, tech bulletins, etc) about how the downstream O2 is used to affect the fuel trims or to calibrate anything. People claim LTFT drift on spacered downstream O2. I have no FT drift.

None of them provide any evidence/data/etc. that BMW uses the rear o2 for fuel trims. In fact, the most informative thread explicitly says BMW does not use it in that matter, although other manufacturers do. A mere single poster saying "the rear 02 is used for fuel trim adjustments", is not a discussion on the topic, nor evidence that the statement is true. Fro those three threads, you've come to the conclusion that BMW does it? That cannot possibly be the basis for your belief...

Adding another to the list. I know most of us know this code isn't important but I still tried to get more information on the cause.

I just had O2 codes pop up...
Wheres the best place to pick up new sensors? I saw that FCP were back ordered and I seem to remember a post on another thread with a link to a suppler that was a good bit cheaper. |

Still in Low Power Mode
Just replaced the stock turbo with a Vargas GC+. Tried 2 different aftermarket intakes and still getting the 160504 code for Crankcase Ventilation Hose Disconnected. Replaced all hoses and still limping around. No boost. JB4 clears for a second and reappears. Can someone tell me how I can get this thing fixed and start reaping the benefits of my new turbo?
