Lightbulb F30 Gear Selector cover with "M" Logo

Hi all,

I am planning to change my F30 gear selector cover to the one that has the "M" logo on it keeping only OEM parts.

I found the M performance gear selector and it has the cover with the "M" logo that I am looking for, however, I am not a big fan of the carbon fiber and I would not like to spend 250dlls to take only the cover jejeje

Another option (much cheaper) that I am trying to validate is if the gear selector from the X4 M40i PN# 61319288833 (that has the M on it) fits the to the gear selector of my car because the part number doesn't match (F30 gear selector pn=61319252139).

From a visual inspection looks to be compatible, however, I would like to request the support of the experts on this forum to see if it is compatible with my car

Thanks

If one has an //M on it and the other doesn't, why does it surprise you they are 2 different part numbers
What I am trying to find is if the one with the //M is compatible with my car (F30) : it's clear that those two parts have a different part number

It won't be OEM
Good point, however I believe that it will give it a nice subtle change to the interior

BMW doesn't sell just the cover by itself to my knowledge. You'll end up buying the silver plastic cover as well. I had this same problem so I just bought a cheap one off eBay. Is it OEM? No. Does it look close enough and cost $10? Yes.

The key is being able to take off the oe one and not butchering up the shifter trim.

Yours came right off nicely however that's not the case for everyone.
