i have downloaded the nbt m bootanimation from the first site of this thread.
I have a android 10 device and followed the instruction (put the bootanimation.zip and splash.img in a OEM folder on an usb stick).
but my device shows only the splash img without the bootanimation.

Try using PX6 version instead of SD625. I need to check what is going on with this animation as soon as my PC is back up and running

Did you use the bootanimation.zip from github or did you use the extracted files and made the zip by yourself (or windows)?

I had repacked the files into a zip file by myself and that also didn't work. Same issue as you described. When I tried again with the zip from GitHub it worked like a charm.

It has to be packed with 7zip, level of compression 'store' otherwise it won't work. However even with 7zip there are issues from time to time, plus my animations can be 30-40MB in size. I realised that not every unit can run these, so what I left in my Mega folder is animations below 10MB proven to work on various units.

Another problem might be Android 10 v1.7.1 as Chinese moved location of the boot animation.

I used the px6 version and it works.
The SD625 version are png files and the px6 version are jpegs.
Maybe this is the problem?

No it doesn't matter. Both file formats are accepted.

it's amazong but... How does it pair with our screen ratio?
Maybe you can change the "circle" design for a "strip" design to better fill the horizontal space

something like that (minuum keyboard)

that you could navigate with the knob

I love when people are saying something, something BUT ...

You are not wrong, this style was also suggested to me however my goal always was to make iDrive style keyboard. When I'm done with it I can make another one exactly like this one.

As for the screen ratio etc, right now it takes a lot of space (same as OEM one) but I have an idea how to make it a little bit less in your face

Massive thank you to Jellepepe from Discord chat for keeping me right!

IDrive keyboard project is gaining momentum. Most of the functionality is there but now I need to improve those graphics and add few things

A small updated on our fundriser:

I would like to thank you all for your contributions. Your support is absolutely amazing! Taking this opportunity I would also like to share a good news: we already bought first unit thanks to you! Some friends of ours made a fantastic deal, allowing us to make a purchase so early on! Unfortunately we have not been able to cover the complete costs of the new unit, the remaining amount has been covered by Kri himself. With your continued support we could compensate Kri and perhaps raise enough money to buy a second hand unit as well. At this stage we have a better understanding of how much we can raise and what is actually needed. So please if any of you or someone you know is selling their Snapdragon 625 unit, or is willing to give it away free of charge, please let as know so we can take further actions. Thank you again for you support!

Hello, Since a lot of new units are coming with 720p screen can we get the boot animations resized to fit the entire screen? If so does anyone have the original files to keep the resolution as best it can be? Right now they only show for 480 which cuts off about an inch on both sides of the screen when booting on a 720P screen.

I would love to help but the videos that boot animations are based on are all 1280x480. I could try upscaling my animations but I'm afraid that the quality would significantly degrade. I could make a 1920x720 animation later on if you want to give it a try.

I have upscaled 480p boot animation to 720p. Here is the link, try it out and let me know how it looks like.

That's an old build already Since that I have improved graphics, added transition animations for switching between letter and number/special characters, implement speech to text functionality (so now you can select microphone icon and just start talking).

Next will be:
1. Touching screen would changing back to on screen "standard" keyboard (but with custom layout similar to iDrive 7) and back to rotary keyboard upon knob rotation.
2. User preferences menu where you can select keyboard transparency and for rotary keyboard customise key placement.
3. Maybe something more if I'll have more ideas/get more suggestions from the community

It just take time as I'm learning all of that on the fly. For example I spent 2 days chasing simple error with speech to text function causing app to crash. But I'm getting there

Hi all, I installed a new bootanimation and everything worked fine (the NBT New), but I decided to change it to other (BMW M).

With this one, I only could see de splash image on startup but bootanimation didn't enter. I thought it was because some error (store zip compresion, desc.txt errors, images number, etc) so, I back to previous working bootanimation but it was the same problem boot animation didn't enter).

I've been trying to update some other bootanimations and splash images without modifications, but bootanimation still not seen.

Any idea about what is happening in my unit?

I saw your message on Discord, sorry I didn't reply there.

This is the first time to my knowledge that someone is reporting this kind of issue. What I would suggest to do is full factory reset. Most likely something got corrupted in the process and that would be the quickest way to fix it.
