Coding out passenger seat occupancy mat?

I’ve got a 2012 328i that has a faulty sensor pad in the passenger seat that’s causing the passenger restrain malfunction error. Is there anyway to code out the sensor pad and force the airbags to be always on?

I ordered an emulator, but it won’t get here in time before my trip.

Any update on this? I have a 2012 that’s doing the same exact thing.

Could try this, found on the net:

1. Disconnect sensor mat

2. Code > CIS_Beifahrer > nicht_akttiv

Should already be on nicht_aktiv.
Although mine is untouched and it's already on nicht_aktiv.

You should rather play with the SBE_UP and SBE_DOWN paramaters.

Put these on FF, and like M3nt4l said disconnect sensor mat.
Then delete the fault messages.

It's an idea, not much more.

Edit: seen this from the following topic:

Passenger seat position sensor:
Sitzpositionsensor_Beifahrer: aktiv -> nicht_aktiv
