Turner Motorsports Intercooler, Tune and FTP Charge pipe Unboxing

Hey everyone! So i picked up the Turner Motorsports Intercooler and Tuner. Their intercooler looks great and the FTP charge pipes look good also. I created a video below to show off the products. I will be getting these installed when i come back from vaca.

Once installed I will update everyone on the numbers. I will be going stage 2 for Turner's tune which is good for 96HP and 127lb-ft. We shall see.

Interesting! I had no idea Tuner was offering a tune. Impressive claims of 110 peak hp and nearly maxing out the stock turbo.

But I do wonder if the claimed 110hp is from the tune alone or tune + FBO. If it’s tune + FBO then I suppose that would be on par with BM3.

I’d love to see some dynos.

I just completed the stage 2 tune today it it pulls hard above 3k. I am dong a review video now and I plan to hit the dyno very soon to see what numbers I am putting down now.

I am very curious myself.

Yeah I was out of town on vacation. So far it has been great. I have noticed a little lag until about 3K. But I wonder if that is not lag and just the difference in power over 3K. Larger intercooler does increase turbo lag because of the extra surface.

Just finished my second Dyno and achieved some good numbers.

my best run was 358 HP and 402 TQ

Performance mods:
CTS Turbo Intake
MPE
Turner Motorsports Intercooler
Turner Stage 2 Tune.

I still need to get a down pipe and go stage 3. Turner claims you can hit 400 WHP with those mods. We shall see.

Good numbers just seems odd those all that money in mods for a slight increase in power. Feel like the power should be more.. Deff get the down pipe! First mod I did and made such a difference

I think those are good numbers considering the MPE and Intake only add negligible hp. Once you have the down pipe you should see close to 380whp.

Yeah I only increased 26 HP but went up 83 TQ. Also their claims are from a bone stock N55 car. Since my Car came with the MPPK and MPE My gains would be a little different than someone with a stock car. Also their tune overrides the MPPK.

Yeah that's a huge TQ gain but I just thought HP would be different. Maybe even try a flash tune from bm3 or MHD and compare that and the tune you have one day?

Yeah so one of my buddies has a FBO 335i but he dyno'd his car with BM3 Stage 1 Intake and exhaust and he put down 338Hp and 399tq. Then we installed the downpipe, GFB DV and intercooler and he put down 381HP and 429 TQ.

So that is what I am trying to beat.

Turner states on their website that with FBO on their stage 3 tune they dyno'd their shop car @ 406 HP, and 463 Tq at the wheels.

So the next step for me is the add the downpipe and get their stage 3 flash tune and then test it out.

Yeah that's a good point. And that's on pump gas? I would be super happy with a 400hp and almost 500tq on pump gas
