Not able to open my trunk lid of an F31 (2013)?!

Hello everyone!

Today when i was trying to open my trunk lid, it was stuck. It's electric so when I push the button on the lid/on the key you can see that the lid is moving a bit but it's hold back by the lock.

I can't even hear or see that the motor(sentral locking system) is moving.

I was able to find where the wire was connected, open the enclosure an moved the wire manual - no reaction to the lock.

Is there any emergency wire I can pull to unlock the lid?
Any other with the same issue?

thanks!

I have a handle on a string to unlock the trunk lid for those times I get stuck in my trunk.

You don't have something like that?

I don’t believe there is an ‘emergency release’ cable on the F31. However, have you tried to just open the glass part of the hatch?

Correct, as I can see from all my search on internet, only the F30 has this handle to unlock(?)

So, the glasspart works perfectly but i can't see how i can move from there to Get the whole lid unlocked..

My follow up guess, then, will be to check fuses that might be related, read codes, and then, consider that it might be a broken or breaking wire inside the wiring loom that goes to the trunk.

Not sure how you get to it but any breaks will be at the fold of the wire or thereabouts...from metal fatigue. The breaks may likely be hiding inside the wire's insulation, so you need to yank the wires apart...if they're broken or down to a few strands, it'll break apart and you can do an inline splice/solder/shrink tubing fix with a new section of wire if needed.
