I'm visiting a friend in Socal in 2ish weeks and she told me she wants to go to a car event with me. I go to many in Chicago so she's curious - but I don't know anyone in that area. I checked Facebook but couldn't find many - anything cool happening in Socal mid August?

I'd assume it's more shut-down than Chicago is, but figured I'd ask to see if anyone knows anything cool going on.

Always worth a check, Socal is ass wide open apart from bars, dine in, & wineries. Probably why we can't contain our cases. Beside that there's usually an event that'll pop up. If anything comes up i'll let you know

Amazing how organized this is, in Chicagoland it's hard to find events unless you have a big social net.

There is always the option of driving up the Pacific Coast Highway and just enjoy an amazing scenery.

I'm doing this and LA Canyons too - I've been sending her lots of pics from events/meets out here she's finally convinced to see what I hype so much

There are so many great drives within a reasonable distance from LA. Head north on PCH and go East towards Paso Robles wine country. Breathtaking. Sequoia National Forest is another destination. The best part: no masks required while in the car. Safe travels!

There is always at least one event, whether it be a meet or a cruise, each day on the weekend. And there are normally one or two meets at night during the week.
