Installed new M Performance exhaust on my 435i, no noticeable difference in sound?

I installed a new mpe and when I was done I was excited to hear it so I turned on my car right away but I was let down instantly. It sounds just like my stock exhaust? Any idea why this is?

If it's anything like 340i, it only sounds different in sport and sport + mode. It will open the butterfly valves in the muffler.

I have no personal experience with the MPE, but it should improve sound noticeably in Sport / Sport+ ...
There are plenty of MPE satisfied users.

The valves are still shut on a cold start and only open (at idle, Sport, Sport+) when it's warmed up.But it's almost immediate when you put it into sport and drive off.

Either way it's def louder/throatier than stock.

Does it have the M performance embossed on the rear of the exhaust below the valence?
