The whole point of the original thread has been lost by constant bickering and "Mine is Better than yours" nonsense.

Everyone wants to now this....wait for it...wait for it...does this offer better performance than STOCK for the $. Some folks said it looks like the Wagner Performance FMIC...that's it. Nobody said it performs as good as the Wagner. So relax.

We finally have good weather so I'll be installing mine this weekend. I'll do some stock logs and then some after install. If the IATs are better then Woo hoo! By now, we all understand it's not a Comp tube and fin. I want someone with their Wagner Performance FMIC to post the same data after I do. Not WAGNER promotional data! Then we will know for sure. Need to be FBO and logs show ambient, IATs, boost, rpm, gears, anything else I missed??? LMK and I'll make sure my post is Crystal clear. If it does suck, I'll be the first to admit it. Well...maybe after I resell it real quick...lol

Just an outsider looking in, IF this $200 intercooler is an improvement over stock, then that's great. I'm just assuming this to be true since I haven't seen a stock versus this item on the same car tested as similar conditions. There is another guy who has posted several great logs of his car stock and a couple aftermarket intercoolers which is/was helpful (starting with OE, Wagner V1, Wagner V2, and ATM).

I suppose the question now is if this $200 intercooler is not as good or as good as one that costs 3 to 4 times more. I'm not sure if that even matters. If the $200 one does a significant (amount subjective to buyer) enough of an improvement, then that should be good enough. If it does as well as a $700 intercooler, then that's nice too but I wouldn't hold my breath for someone to do a back to back test of the $200 vs Wagner vs whatever other brand anytime soon.

I'd be careful to just arbitrarily state that this $200 is the same one as a name brand one made in the same factory. It may be, it may not be. Wagner sells 4 different types in the $700 to 900 range. ER is made here in the US (iirc). The OP even made the mistake of saying something along the lines of maybe same factory...then maybe they made a copy of the original; which is it?

Do a 3 gear pull starting from 3rd gear (2500 RPM) to 5th
Do not short shift, let the car shift on its own at redline
Your logs should show boost, RPM, WGDC, ambient temp and of course intake air temp

It would be great to do the same pull with the stock intercooler so we can see a comparison between the 2

If a product is not good quality, I will be the first one to post about it (check my posts about fitment issues with Cobb charge pipe on the E chassis) We are a vendor for Cobb but that does not mean we will lie to our customers and lose their support to make $20 off a CP.

Thank you for being objective, the intake temps after conversion are within like (112 vs 117) 5 degree of each other. Of course we don't know the ambient temp of the wagner data to draw any more conclusions.

Your run was 3 gears vs a 4 gear pull from Wagner
Your shifted at 4000 on one of the gears
You do not even have which gears the run was recorded at

Lots of info missing which makes an objective comparison almost impossible
One needs to have both intercoolers on hand to compare

Baseline log with the stock FMIC. This was after 4 runs, because I couldn't find a smooth road without traffic. Boost is much lower on this one from previous runs, but I'm running Map 5 and the car was running pretty hot after the previous pulls. This is a 3rd and 4th gear pull. I couldn't continue through 5th because i ran out of road. Ambient was 74 and the starting IAT was 87 and peaked at 134! didn't wanna pour gasoline on the fire here, but did you buy one and put them side by side to compare the finish quality? I don't know if that second one is a fact.

I do this for a living, I have seen a ton of intercooler logs ... Do a search on the forum for logs and compare it to logs posted above

There is a thread with Wagner evo 1 , Wagner evo 2 and ATM logs on the same car

Map 5 is not a good idea in a comparison thread since your next pull will have different boost numbers which is going make this thread even worse

Yea, I figured that when I went from running almost 16 - 13 lbs of boost. She's cooling off now and I'll try to get out for another pull in a bit.

You mean the thread where multiple people buy a product for our platform (F30 N55) and offer their experience and then competing vendors just cast doubt, which I guess the admins allow if you pay vendor fees.

1) kpeng, others, and I have offered logs, pictures, videos, experiences.

The rest of the thread is just BS that is intended to cloud the point. The intercooler fits, it doesn't leak, it looks good, and more importantly it's better than stock.

If someone is doing honest research on a product using this forum as a resource they will drawn their own conclusions, if they don't, they deserve to be led in whatever direction they choose to be lead in.

I must say, this thread is extremely entertaining lol. I'm bored at work and I read every single post.

THANK YOU stxf30 for finally posting logs that are useful for comparison, you're the first one. Now I'm interested in seeing logs from the eBay intercooler.

I have an ATM intercooler and I swear by it, there's no way I'd buy the eBay intercooler but I'm interested in its results because I think it would be a good option for some people, and just to settle the argument.

Whoever that was with the "McDonalds was pissed" post, I laughed so hard my coworkers looked at me like "wtf?!"
