The hills above Aix-Les-Bains. It's a lovely part of the world to spend the summer. Either down on the lake or up in the hills.

Not a lot of tourists either as they're all over in Annecy.

That's really nice. I stayed in menthon St Bernard on lac Annecy for a night on a road trip two years ago, a hotel on the side of the lake. Went for a swim in the lake in the morning before breakfast and it was the best swim I've ever had, the water was such an amazing colour and the views were something else.

I love France!

Walk across Tower Bridge was on my bucket list simply because it's what Brits do. When I added it to the list, I didn't know they had glass floors on the upper walkways. Anyway, crossed that one off today

Went to Bermondsey yesterday to do the 'Mile' with a few mates. Some interesting beers (Birthday Cake Black Aggie (13%) by Hidden Springs Ale Works) and prices seemed to start at around £8 and just get silly from there.

PS - yeah that's me in the day-glo socks but in my defence they are super comfortable!

Ended up going to Cambridge for the weekend. Went punting up the river. Didn't fancy doing it myself though. Too big a chance of falling in

Stayed in a lovely little hotel near the city centre and right next to the river, in amongst lots of restaurants and bars. Also made use of the rooftop bar too.

Not currently away but we will also be going to Rhodes this summer. We’ve booked the Eden Roc on a recommendation.

Hadn’t heard of that hotel. It looks lovely.
This is our first time in Rhodes (Ixia). We are staying at the Atrium Platinum.

Hotel staff are superb. Having to stay by the pool for now as my son cut his foot at judo which then got infected. Was touch and go whether we would actually make the holiday!

Glad we did. We had booked rooms with private pools. When we checked in, was told we had been upgraded to the presidential suite.

It’s tough…but we will just have to cope!!!
