So it looks like clubs are being forced to play the season out simply for the TV money...nothing else.

It also appears the Premier league are putting the relegation threatened clubs over a barrel , do it or they will go down the Points per game route.

Expect West Ham ( the dildo brothers) , Brighton and Watford to pull some cunning stunts to ensure they try and disrupt the process and force it down the PPG route which would ensure their safety.

Agreed. Already seen PR from Brighton players 'getting it'. Highly expect a few of them every couple of weeks till August in a disruptive pattern.

From what I've read the PL clubs would need to pay back to Sky etc something like £376 million pounds at a time they aren't taking anything at the gate.

Other leagues, the Dutch, French etc because their tv rights are far less haven't been so badly affected.

For the SPL I'd imagine the broadcasters have paid them to cancel the league

Add in behind the scenes the government are putting massive pressure on the PL to get going again, it's understandable why the PL wants to get started again.

Personally I think it should be finished, award the rest of the points on a points by game basis and rather than pay back any tv rights, take a reduced amount over the next 3-5 years.

Another couple of premier league 'staff' tested positive.

I can't really see how any contact sport resuming anytime soon makes any sense whatsoever other than ££££££.

Hmmm. Going to be a long barren sportless summer. Golf would adapt well I think so might get NOW TV for the odd bit if they resume.

Pretty much unheard of that.

Thank god footy's coming home (as is the ultimate prize back to Anfield!). Hopefully Arsenal can beat City's reserves (no doubt put all focus on their holy grail of the Champions League before they're banned from it) and we can win it in one game against the toffees - probably played somewhere miles away to avoid 'crowd' trouble!

Can't believe they think we'd all be in Stanley Park 😂😂😂😂

The crabs are literally fuming, the voidy voidy club, more interested in Liverpool not winning the PL than actually trying themselves.

Bitter twats.
