It has all arrived, I just have not got round to building it yet. Will do this weekend.

I am going to OC the shit out of it. RAM, CPU and GPU's.
Have also got got very decent case fans and AIO cooling for it.

Didn't bother with any of that RGB crap that the kids are all doing these days, but the RAM has it as standard.

My IT guy told me that my GPU set up is totally unnecessary and way beyond using a sledge hammer to crack a walnut.
Its more using a JCB to grind a peanut as he put it.
I'll be using this rig on a Samsung 4k TV. He told me I am limited to what the TV can do and I would have been better off using a single 2080 Super as it is a more than capable card.

The 2080S might be a good upgrade for the 1070.

Sharing it with the boss.
For the two of us that should last about 7 to 8 weeks.

I would have bought more but "It's Coronoa prices bruv" have kicked in since Boris announced the first lockdown.

That market is so volatile right now due to issues with the post from California that the dealers I got it from have since called me back asking if they can buy it back off me.

I'll stock up another months worth and if this thing goes on for 3 months I am sorted.

Didn't stockpile any toilet rolls, tins of beans, pasta, paracetamol or anything of the sort.
Just herbs. All natural ingredients.

I know that the world is a weird place right now and stuff might have passed me by, but just in case I missed it...

- this is still illegal right?
- and proven to give you all sorts of mental health issues

Thankfully never been interested in that or other illegal drugs and no intention of changing that no matter how messed up the world...

A trapeze to be hung from a tree branch
A garden badminton set
A pair of 36km/h offroad RC cars for the garden
Spare guitar strings
Lots of paint
IKEA furniture for my son's bedroom
A case of our favourite Rioja (Alta Viña Arana Reserva)
Lots of Wainwright beer
A cordless pole pruner (It isn't the time to use the proper chainsaw...)
A new laptop for my son
Lots of school books
A kettlebell

Early days, and the weather has been great, but so far lockdown has been quite an enjoyable experience!

It does look like that doesn't it!

It's a medium frame and I'm 6ft.

As part of the buying process they do a full fit, then recommend bikes to suit. When I went to pick it up I thought it looked odd but did 23 miles on it yesterday with no aches or pains.

Excellent, aways good to get a fit. When I've had pains it's only taken micro adjustments to sort it all out. Looks quite an aggressive set up, very nice!

Just back from a similar ride on the foldie, Chester and River Dee cycle paths were busy but in a good family not groups kind of way.

I got mine a month or so ago, haven't been out on it yet as I've not had chance to fit the stabilisers, at 5 foot 7 it's a touch on the big side but I'll get used to it.

My IT guy told me this yesterday.

Apparently the new half life game is supposed to be the best VR game out there at the moment.

Only problem is my IT guy is self isolating so I'm gonna have to have a bash at building this myself.

It has been about 15 years since I last built a PC, so I'm a bit more concerned with getting this set up to work before I book up VR to it
New Half life game?!!! Why haven't I seen this? I thought valve/Sierra (who ever they are now) said it was dead and there would never be a HL3?! I've never been so locked into a game as HL2 and online, Did you ever play on the Lincoln Uni server? Pulse grenades and grav gun tennis.

Purchases. Nothing significant; just the usual groceries.

We may have a crack at decorating the house, but we'd need to block-out at least a solid two weeks.

Then there'd be a discussion (argument) about who's going to entertain/educate the kids.

Then I'd end up being the one blocking-out 4 weeks to decorate the house.

Conclusion : after lockdown I'll pay someone £5K to decorate the house.
