QUESTION: JB4 OBDII removal

Hi All, I know im gonna get flamed for this but Im trying to remove my jb4 from the obd2 port to put in a Bluetooth adapter to code some things in with bimmercode but when i went to go yank it out it wouldn't budge, i thought it would be on clips but i visually didn't see anything. Can anyone smarter than me (everyone) tell me what the correct way to remove it from the obd2 port is i would appreciate it

Yes. It can be a pain to remove. Basically what I do is just wiggle from side to side while pulling down with some force. There's an opening on the adapter that kinda acts like a lock which makes it sit real snug. And the fact that there's nothing there to get a good grip on to pull it out makes it worse.
What I did was. Once I removed it, I used a sharp knife to cut off the tab that makes it lock in place. Adapter still sits tight but is extremely easy to remove when you want to.

Ok so i knew that it wasent coming out for a reason, should i try to stick something in to the tap to release it or just yank it out?

A thin flat head screwdriver might help. But I didn't need to stick anything in there. Just some extra pressure downwards while pulling at it and wiggling it side to side. It took a while but I managed to get it off. It was very irritating. First thing I did after was cut that damn tab off.

Yup. It does feel that way. In fact, in my car, something broke and fell off and the obd port is slightly loose. But it hasn't come off and works perfectly. After cutting the tab, it's fine.

OBD2 scanner

OBD2 is known as cars doctor, many of us still now are using portable OBD2 scanners so sometimes it would be in trouble. Here some OBD2 scanners are suggested obd2scannertools.org , you all can find the best option.
