xDrive Wheel Setup Question

Hi Everyone -

I'm currently running a square setup of OEM 397 wheels (18X8) on my 2014 335i xDrive wrapped in DSW06's 225/45/18 tires.

I recently purchased a staggered set of OEM 400m wheels and wanted to swap them out. The front wheel are 18X8 from the factory running 225/45/18 tires, so no issue there. The rear wheels are 18X8.5 and run 255/45/18 tires from the factory. I did some research and 225/45/18 is the minimum I can run on the 18X8.5 wheels. This will cause a little bit of stretch but otherwise would be OK. My question is, has anyone run 18X8.5 wheels with 225/45/15 tires? If so, have they has any issues or concerns?

I ran it fine before, no problem. just some stretch

335i xdrive staggered setup with BBS RGR 8.5 wheels 225/45/18 in front and BBS 9.0 255/40/18 in the rear. The car handled really well and had zero issues with setup.

Just got the wheels fitted and I think they look great. A little bit of stretch but nothing too crazy. I may order a set of rear 255's in the future but right now it's all good!
