Someone asked if they were able to successfully "flash the ECU" and they replied "sometimes." I'm just curious why this never got more steam or attention.

Believe me, I'm not holding my breath for any of these posts to turn into some that I, myself, can purchase for MY car. Could be another year before that happens, we won't know until it does.

I just don't know why these companies were starting with the B48. Seems counter intuitive for getting people excited and into the market. There's no way there's more B48 users wanting to flash their leased BMW they can barely afford than B58 users who wanted performance from the beginning. I know that's a generalized statement, but statistically it's the truth between who buys what.

In their initial post they joke about it by saying it'll be ready in "two weeks" with quotes. It was never actually going to be 2 weeks

Have fun waiting. Will likely be several months before any of us can purchase/test.

imo, 400whp tune ONLY (perfect AFR, good power curve, ect.) would be pretty awesome. I think its doable personally. Although, we will probably hit the fuel pump limit pretty fast.

This being the new Supra engine, it should have some truly amazing potential. Which is exciting.

I'd love to see 430-440 wheel with an intake, DP, and e85. I don't know if the flash will make the platform more e85 friendly or not, but I need this car to run upper 11's and trap 116-118. Really don't want to deal with WMI.

Apparently the stock fuel pump is only good for about 420ish (same as 328i/330i). Will most likely need an upgraded fuel pump or meth to supply additional fueling, although the engine can handle it. I'm not sure where the stock turbo is going to start running out of breath.

Pretty sure I recall some people saying they were noticing this when running meth. So around 460ish WHP.

So HitmanHearns does yours run 430bhp?

Rumour has it it'll be 435-440.

Either way I'd rather that than a jb4

I refused to get a JB box and went MPPSK because of previous issues I've had with other cars with piggyback boxes. I appreciate they serve a purpose but the power bump from MPPSK made it worthwhile.

As long as they can remap cars with the MPPSK exhaust I will have the best of both worlds. I would imagine that if they are hoping for high 430's with a stock setup they should be looking at low 440's with MPPSK / something that flows a bit better.
