Maxton designs front splitter fitted

Fitted this to my 430 this morning. Pain in the rear as I don't have a ramp, but pretty pleased with the quality and the look.

Did you get this off the ebay deal recently with 10% off? I have a sapphire black F32 coupe with the same splitter waiting to go on!

Can I ask how you did it? I was debating using a pro to do it for me, and did you use self tappers or the supplied bolts?

Really excited now as I think that looks superb! (I ordered a rear spoiler as well to go with it!)

Yes I got it off eBay. I basically jacked the front end up, stuck it in place with 3M tape then used self tappers along the length to fix it. There is about 15-20 screws so it's pretty solid.

I didn't fancy taking the cowling off to use the nuts and bolts provided. I also figured if it hits any bump pulling screws out would do less damage than bolts.

It took about an hour to fit.

Great, thank you, and makes perfect sense. I have a guy coming at the weekend to look at a dent in my wife's car and will see if he can assist me with this.

I don't have a jack and my knee is so knackered I'd struggle being down there for that long.

Seems the consensus is to not use the bolts for sure. Much appreciated!

Yes, definitely just use tape and self tappers, no bolts. I just fitted a second one to my car due to kerb damage. It broke the spoiler in two places, on the corner. Good job they are reasonably cheap.

The tape and screws kept all the rest in place with no trouble for a couple of weeks until replacement arrived, with no damage to original bumper.

Very impressed with it, so have put one on my wife's F21.

As a tip if your have no ramps, use two piles of books underneath to "just about" place it into position, approx 1cm below bumper. Remove VHB tape, reposition in correct position. I used a pencil mark on bumper and spoiler in the centre, the ends are easy to get right. Then its only a small movement to stick it in the correct position, tape holds it while you use self tappers. One person job.

Do you have a link to these?

I might try and do the splitter myself this weekend with the spoiler.

That splitter looks much like the Reiger front splitter (which I bought whilst slightly inebriated 🥴 ). Was planning on selling it, but might just fit it after seeing these pics 👍

That looks really good.
Anyone know if they fit the F36 also?
Front splitter should fit but the side blades?
What finish do they come in? Painted or ready for paint?
