Difference between m235i MPE and 335/435 MPE?

Question from the title. I'm so curious and I've been sporadically searching for weeks with no answer.

Some have said that they are the same, others have said the m235i MPE is a bit louder. I recently installed an MPE from an m235i into my f30. It seems to be a lot more agressive than other videos I've seen from f30 MPE guys, but it's hard to tell over video of course. Is it all in my head? I can also post a cold start vid if people are actually interested.

m235 MPE part number:
18302293766

335/435 MPE part number:
18302354339 - Euro version
18302354340 - U.S. version

Hello,
does the M235 MPE fit to the F30?
Cause i do have a M235 MPE in my garage but it seems that the connection pipe to the muffler is different to my F33 exhaust

it's mostly in your head man.. there may be slight differences but it's not going to be huge and yeah you can't use online videos as the basis for comparison at all.. ever. recording equipment and playback equipment plus a million other variable conditions keep you from getting good audio info.

On a side note,, I think its hilarious when people compare online when trying to decide what to buy and then are sadly disappointed afterwards.

There is definitely a difference between the M235 MPE and the 335/435 MPE. My M235 has a catted DP and MPE and it's quite a bit louder, deeper, and more growl/warble/burbles than a friend's 435 with a catted DP and MPE.

BMW does weird things for sure. For example, there are two MPE's available for the M240. One MPE is louder and burbley than the other.

BMW used slightly narrower exhaust piping on early F-series 335's. I think it was 2.5" and then moved to 3" beginning with 2015MY.
