Increasing turbo pressure release sound?

I love the sound my F32 does when (I'm assuming) the turbo releases the air pressure. I can hear a "Fsssss" decompression sound but only if I'm near a wall so sound bounces back.

Is there a way to make this sound louder? I heard getting a high flow air intake helps? Is that true? Anything else I can go?

Thanks!
Maz

My 200 cell high flow downpipe makes it very audible. I think removing the restricted airflow is the only way

if you can locate the place inside your engine bay where that sound happens , i would place a microphone and hook it up to your cars audio system

Turn off ASD via bimmercode if you haven't already. Get an open intake like AP, but IATs will go up.

Intake and turbo inlet are making the most difference at a low cost. But the downpipe is the cherry on the sundae.

Turbo inlet as in charge pipe? So in order:

1- High flow air intake
2- Charge pipe
3- down pipe

Did I get this right?

Changing the charge pipe won't do anything for noise. There is another pipe between the intake box and the turbo called the turbo inlet. This pipe is resonated and changing it could change the sound. This is a very uncommon upgrade I think but I'm actually waiting on an unresonated turbo inlet. I'll share some sound clips once I get it installed.

This. But I made mine with custom intake parts before these kits were offered.

I noticed the most difference with my AP intake and going from high flow down pipe to catless. AP intake is the loudest sounding IMO.

And also upgraded turbo with higher boost levels was a huge difference as well. Makes a way better sounding spool than above two alone.

We have a silicone charge pipe almost finished with an option to install a BOV. Comes with everything needed to set it up, and has options for either a Turbosmart BOV with two spring choices, and an HKS BOV. Both have been fully tested, and work well.

We will be announcing its release once we have all the parts in stock

Where can you get a turbo inlet pipe? I have an MST intake so I don't need an intake inlet.

I just installed the unresonated turbo inlet that I got from @mattrreid_ on instagram.

My impression is that the high frequencies from the turbo are louder kinda like a whistle. I tried to record the sound before and after but it didn't turn out well so it might just be in my head.

If you're just after a louder blow-off sound then I wouldn't recommend changing the turbo inlet. I would get an aftermarket intake or just change the intake pipe. A downpipe would probably help as well but I haven't tried myself. A tune that increases boost levels will also increase the blow-off sound.
