However, it can vary from country to country. For instance, even the G30 M550iX comes with fabric/alcantara as a standard in Central/East Europe, but the standard for the UK seems to be leather. Recently BMW (and other brands) quickly moves to syntetic leather in Europe, thus some models/lines come with Sensatec as standard.
Same here, the alcantara seats is standard with the M sport package, if you want leather you gotta pay extra. Me personally would never choose leather over the alcantara seats
Times change and various brands sometimes do contradictory marketing. Alcantara used to be the second cheapest option for Audi, just after simple textile and before Alcantara+Leather combo. All leather options were more expensive, some only available for the S/RS Models.
In reality, you had to really like seeing your ass imprint on the seat every day to choose alcanatara. But some did, to avoid the textile without spending too much on leather.

I would always go for textile instead of Alcantara as I simply hate that plush look. Or leather, whereas I admit that Dakota is a no-go. You have to pay for proper leather.

At the end of the day, it is all a matter of taste and therefore there is a choice. Whatever makes people happy.... now they even have vegan interiors....

Got my catless DP mounted today. 18 F31, b46, bm3 stage 1, stock midpipe with secondary cat and resonator plus a M235i dual muffler. Still have to button a couple things up and flash to stage 2. First start up sounds promising. what you think?

Had rodent damaged repaired. Critter(s) got to the wiring for the anti-theft system behind the rear wheel well cover.
$550 in damage, but I've heard others have had much worse. Not sure why the critters are attracted to wiring...flossing?

The insulation is some soy based biodegradable crap that's literally food for rodents. Someone (Honda maybe) makes an chili pepper laced electrical insulation tape that you can wrap your wires with to prevent future issues.

Also leave a box of Bounce sheets in your trunk, can't hurt.

Thanks for the the bounce and peppermint spray. Will need to look around my engine bay...hopefully not find any costlier beginning of damage.
That Honda tape is interesting.

Replaced the stock charge pipe with an upgraded one. New catless DP, larger intercooler, and a stage2 MHD flash.
Feels much better now, much more responsive to drive.

I will never understand why you Americans insist on manufacturing cars with theese on. So glad its not a requirement here.

Don't worry, we don't like them either lol, I personally paint matched mine. There's a few who will come in here talking about how it's against the law, but if you need an orange reflector to spot my car that has LED headlights on them, then I think we have a bigger problem.

You could replace the reflector with wheel glow

Thats exactly my thought. The headlight is literally 1 inch above it. Cant see how that reflector makes any difference at all.
