iPhone 5: music, phone, and nav
Hi all,
I got a question. My 335i should be coming next month. I did not spec the nav, bmw assist, or enhanced Bluetooth. I know I can play music via lightning cable, and accept/place calls via Bluetooth; however, my particular question relates to using the iPhone's Nav and music. Is it possible to play music on the iPhone and use the nav while connected via lightning cable? Thanks, Sam |

you don't need a long cable, i bought the 4" from monoprice (MFI) certified. if you have the enhanced USB all your music on iPhone will show on your display and together with the album art. ios7 is cool. iTunes radio also shows album art. my phone always inside the armrest near the USB

Hmmm... I'm not sure if I'm asking my question clearly. I would like to play music and use the navigation (when needed) at the same time on the iPhone 5, WITHOUT losing the ability to control my music via iDrive. Is this possible?
I don't have enhanced Bluetooth or the nav package. And I am using an OEM lightning cable from the Apple store. Thanks pals! |

I maybe missing something but without Nav or Enhanced BT, I presume you won't have the combox needed for a lighting cable connection - is a Y Cable not needed here?
