That's like the perfect fitment in my opinion! Can't wait for mine now haha

I purchased a pair of rep CF MPE tips, sized the same as OEM ones I believe (92mm out, 67mm inlet). Currently have older style MPE /w chrome tips. Plan on getting the new ones welded on once they arrive.
If you are considering these, make sure you get the correct size inlet to fit your current muffler. Many of these tips are around ~62mm inlet which I believe is too small for MPE.

I just wish there was someone else that made a slip-on, with BMS type fitment, but slightly higher quality. I like the adaptability of the BMS slip-on, but I don't care for the look or discoloration after a bit of use. I did buy a set of really nice looking carbon tips from eBay (wasn't cheap, about $70 a piece X 2 for N55 exhaust), and they did slip on and allow you to clamp it on, but I would of had to cut the little fitment nipple on the OEM exhaust, which I didn't want to do, especially since I planned on swapping out the exhaust in the near future. Based on the crazy prices for OEM M carbon tips or OEM chrome/blk tips, it just makes more sense, to me at least, to simply buy an aftermarket exhaust altogether. So that's where I am at this point. I'm waiting and shopping for a pre-owned, reasonably priced, exhaust system. I'm kind of open as to which brand, but preferably an MPE, AA, or AWE. I have a hi-flo cat, plan to keep the factory resonator, so just looking for an axleback with minimal drone, as this is still our family car (technically wife's car).

Received my rep tips in the mail today. Plan on getting my MPE chrome tips either removed or cut off and then installing these. Happy with the size - same exact size as the OEM CF MPE tips from what I've read. Took me a while to find some that were just about identical.
Inner diameter: 67mm
Outer diameter: 92mm

let me know how it goes... ive tried a few akraprovic tips and they didnt work. the inlet is 67mm but unlike the factory and BMS these other aftermarket tips do not have 67mm all the way through, only the 1st inch or so.

Please do chime back on these rep tips. I to fall victim to the MPE with naked tips since I dont want to fork over the change for the real deal OEM carbon tips.

Do the replica Akrapovic and MPE tips on ebay not fit the stock tips on a 428?

I have MPE on my 340i. I've tried alot of the aftermarket options and they didn't really fit properly.

Soooooo... I welded the tips on.

Thought about welding some tips on, but I guess I was trying to save the integrity of the MPE 🙄😏

Damn those replica carbon fiber M performance tips look nice. A decent exhaust option would be the $900 M Performance muffler on eBay (some dealership sells it without tips for $1000 + 10% eBay coupon) and then buy these tips

The tips fit but it wasn't that smooth of a process. The muffler shop had to drill out my chrome MPE tips (riveted on), then cut off the tailpipe ends that those were riveted to. The tips then slid on, but they still had to be welded to ensure they wouldn't move. You could probably clamp them on in some circumstances but the muffler shop advised against it when they showed me that they weren't tight enough. Either way, it was a very reasonably priced mod for my MPE. Any decent muffler shop should be able to take care of this for you for less than $100. Both tips can be found for $100 shipped if you order from Aliexpress. I also had them install stiffer rubber exhaust hangers so that my tips would not hang as low as they were before. Will post pics this evening.

You will need to pop off your current exhaust tips with a rubber mallet and then measure the inner diameter of the pipe. Then find some tips that fit those dimensions on Aliexpress or Ebay. I am guessing yours are about 63mm but recommend measuring to be sure.

Yes the older version of MPE has them riveted on so my experience was probably more painful than someone with the newer version like yours.
