I know squared vs staggered has been beat to death, but this question is little different and couldn't find answer. I've had both staggered and squared, but I've only tracked squared.
My question is for those that have tracked their car using both squared and staggered...how much worse was understeer on staggered? Was it like holy s#&t, that a lot of understeer or meh, there's a little difference? Edit: also, did you notice more nanny intervention in sport plus when using square? |

I have 18" staggered... first the recommended tire pressure is 32f/37r... I just installed strut brace and coilovers...but haven't had anytime to really play with it... I haven't checked final exact rebound but is set-up softer rebound in the front than the rear... I am xdrive also... went around a corner a little fast and did a nice little 4 wheeled drift... I need to take it out to a big parking lot to see the limits still...

Running a square setup can definitely reduce understeer but how badly a car understeers varies on a number of factors beyond the relative width of the front tires to the rears. Alignment plays a huge role and understeer can be significantly reduced by adding negative camber up front even if you maintain narrower front tires. Weight balance also plays a factor along with tire pressure and suspension adjustments like sway bars etc.
Based on customer feedback that I've had about the F3X, square wheels and tires significantly reduce the understeer on track with all other things being equal. The difference on the street is still present, but less noticeable given the lower speeds. -Tom

Now that Ive been driving for a while with the new setup, Ive realized that I have been rubbing a tiny bit in the rears with the fender liner, no issues up front. A tiny bit of camber in the rears would solve this.
