Hi guys,

I've bought ELM327 iCar PRO Bluetooth 4.0 Vgate OBD2 which looks like below:


Because I've read that it works fine with Bimmercode. I bought a full Bimmercode app and unfortunately I am not able to connect it to my F30 2018. All I see is the error "The connection to adapter failed, check manual bla bla" In Bimmercode app im choosing VGATE ICar Bluetooth and all I see is this error. I believe I have done everything according to manual and still fails. I've checked the adapter using another free app and it connects fine to the car/phone. Have someone of you used the same adapter? I can still get a refund so Im wondering if i should choose another adapter or I should do some troubleshooting steps before.

VGate hasn't been Bimmercode compatible for years. My Bimmercode never worked with my VGate. I bought a Bimmercode recommended Veepeak, it works fine. There's a list in the Bimmercode app with compatible adapters and purchase links.

Thank you, I went for refund and bought Vlinker BT - works perfectly now
