Problem Updating Software

Trying to load new MN/TN software into my '14 F30. Currently my car has version 003.001.002 of both.

Using my VIN, I downloaded version 05073 from bmw.com/update. The car refused that version, saying it was incompatible.

I the tried bmw.co.uk/update for the UK version and it gave me version 05062 based on my VIN. Same problem, Car said it was incompatible.

My car has nav and HK audio. I am loading the software file (e.g. UPB05073.BIN) from a FAT32 flash drive inserted into the center armrest USB slot. This slot works fine for my iPod.

Any idea on what's wrong? Is it possible that certain brands of flash drives are not recognized by the BMW USB software? I'm using SanDisk. I had this problem with some drives on my PC.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Having the exact same issue on my '14 F30. Only difference is I am using a Lexmark drive.

This update is for units with no later than version MN-002.255.071 installed. FYI, the info file associated with the update provides details on the update.

I have exactly the same issue...took my F10 528i M Sport LCI (production March 2014) to the BMW dealer this morning and was told that MN/TN- 003.001.002 is the latest version and hence the UPB05073.BIN software update could not be uploaded onto the drive.
