How do you know if your f30 was built in Germany or South Africa?

I placed an order for a custom build f30 (328i, sportline) on Nov. 2, car has a production date of Nov. 14 (I checked using the bmwvin.com site) this site also listed the full vin number and the 11th digit, the plant code digit, is an N which I thought means SA build? But my CA who is the best ever tells me that my new f30 is on its way to NYC now from Germany on the Felicity Ace and MOL Lines ship. I'm a little confused?? Any help would be great. Thank you.

Does that really make sense. To travel from SA to Germany then to NYC? That is going to take forever??

Thats why SA built cars take forever to arrive. Mine has been 3 month, and my 335i M sports is still sailing on the sea.
