Great to hear, I plan on keeping this car for a while.. At 7 years & 107k miles later it still looks brand new inside and out...

Mine (2016 428i gc xdrive) has had transfer case replaced under warranty at 49,500 miles, but otherwise just brakes, venturi line, telematics battery. Did tranny fluid/pan and diffs fluid at 65k, Sitting at 91k miles, and runs great. Need suspension work soon but that's more or preference, it's not bad.
My last car, meticulously maintained 2010 Honda Accord had timing chain let loose at 100,000k, so those things can really happen to any vehicle. Just keep up on fluids and get regular service and it should treat ya well. |

I’ve had explained many times on this forum. I got stuck in a flash flood in NMB and insurance replaced it with a N20 with about 8-10k miles more. Been about 16 months and so far so good. I guess for some people it’s very hard to comprehend.

Steering rack replaced at 75,000 mi/120,000km - $5,000 repair covered under a secret recall Engine seized at 100,00 miles/160,000km due to broken timing chain guide. I loved that car but its just a pile of parts now. |

What symptoms were you having before you had to replace the steering rack?

This was my first and last BMW. They are great cars while still under warranty. After that, it just doesn't make sense as the reliability is bad and the cost of repairs unbelievably high. |

I can understand not being aware of your previous posts on this topic and your unfortunate car. I was not aware and don't participate on this forum often enough to have noticed. Nevertheless, it is most sad that many people will assume the worst of others and not bother to do a little asking or digging or conjecture as to why the apparent impossibility might, in fact, be possible. Sorry that you have been subjected to grade school level name-calling here. Where are the apologies? |
